i got asked a very meaningful question today "does one feel better after crying over something sad?"

and i sat and thought, and i thought some more. all the times we cried as a class, because yeah we're all sad that we have to split up next yr. but then after there's this happiness, this special bond. and i think that feeling is there not because the crying makes us feel better, but rather because we see the spirit when we're crying, we think of the tears, laughter and joy tt we've shared as a class, we rmb the conflicts and how much stronger and bonded we've become after that, the memories just flood back. and it gives me an unexplained euphoria after that. this feeling of carefreeness, that nothing else matter except our class spirit. yeah so i dont think the good feeling is cos of the crying, so maybe not

for me, i think crying helps people to feel better is probable because the person starts accepting things after they've cried. they accept and maybe move on. for me, when my grandma passed away, it was bad. i wld be doing smth when a wave of tears wld just come. but slowly, i accepted and moved on. so yeah i dont think it's the crying that helps, but more of the process that happens when one is crying.

i guess it isnt necessarily true then that you'll feel better after crying it out. different people deal with things differently. some people can accept and move on without the "need" to cry. but ohwells, it's always good to know that there are shoulders to lean on when i need one :D
