today was a really weird day. i dont know what to say.

lets just say i got to know a friend whom i had drifted apart with. and i really had a gd talk to her.

and then i learnt weird things regarding someone(s) else(s).

random thought: i dont get why some ppl want to follow others. why they want to be 'as popular' or 'as pretty' or wadever. why do they do that? are they weak minded people who have no life to lead, no path to follow, no courage to try, no identity? maybe not but i dont get it.

there are many people in this world that i'd like to be like, and maybe dream of becoming. "Perfect people". everyone wonders what it's like to be rich, beautiful, smart, famous, popular, and 'wanted'. but then again "perfect people" have their own insecurities, they have expectations and standards to live up to. a perfect person is not one who is perfect, but rather one who THINKS she is. who loves herself they way she is. and thinks she's beautiful.

it could be and egoistic way of looking at urself. but it's quite true if u think abt it.

compassion for others comes from compassion for self. respect for others comes from respect for self.
