such a slow day today. but i'm enjoying social studies a lot. it's like nothing in pri sch and reading my txtbk was redundant cos we dont refer to it at all. and im learning a lot about how things work in singapore and the world. mr colman chua is very informed hahah wow. it's just interesting to find out about stuff i never knew/ realised before.

and we had philo! which totally rocked as usual. watched the 12 angry men. and touched on fallacies and reasoning. i love philo questions!!!! 12 angry men is about this 12 men in a jury that has to decide whether to send this boy to the electric chair. this 18 yr old boy has been accused of stabbing his father. the sole witness is a lady living in the appartment opposite his who saw the killing through a moving train.

qns: What is the accused's past criminal record? Is his past criminal record relevant in determining whether he committed the present murder?
- it is relevant because his past records cast a doubt on his character. BUT it should not be used by the jury to determine his guilty in this present case.
assumption: yes his past criminal record might mean that he doesnt have a gd character but if the jury were to determine his guilt based on his past criminal record, the assumption they are making is that people's characters don't change.

i so want to watch 12 angry men now!
