I AM ON A DELIRIOUS HIGH TODAY.
in simple terms, today pwned.

because I CLEARED THE ROOF ROUTE!!! WOOHOO!
oh my gosh i feel so good about it now. i finally managed to clear the piece that was difficult to hold, and i did it even without using chalk!

this proves that you should climb without expectations of yourself. because i climbed it without much thinking, without much planning, and without much worrying. AND I CLEARED IT ohmygosh. (: i am uber happy.

odac today was great! i'm so glad i actually love my cca to bits (i can get addicted to it)!

i was put in charge of route setting for the "b" div interhouse route. so weili went up and stuck the markers for the route. then serene tried it and she found it difficult so she came down. then i climbed it and my batchmates said it was too reachy (i.e. too difficult) for the competitors, so i had to add more pieces to the route. sorreh, first time setting a full route plus i set it with our experience and it's a bit difficult to lower the standard. but in the end, it was all good and we're set for interhouse games (:

i really really really want to try the "c" div bouldering and top rope route (which some rj odac snr said it was tough?!)!

we ended odac pretty early today because we had to give rj odac some time to set the route for their interhouse rock climbing. so we had like this major debrief and batch 15 discussed sec 4 farewell (:

i think the rjodacians standard of climbing is lower than us. but quite expected seeing that they aren't frequent/experienced climbers. and the boys didn't really execute any technique on the overhang, they just like used brute strength to pull themselves up - which is very tiring and not effective if you do the overhang multiple times. but their teacher ic is one cool dude, he was part of the first s'porean team to scale mount everest!

on a sadder note, ms cheryl is leaving really soon, and might not evne make it for sec 4 farewell. ): ): ): i really really really really like ms cheryl. she was the one who got me started on the runs in the first place. and today the replacement odac teacher ic joined us, mr tee. he's new to the school. ahwells, i'll miss ms cheryl so much, it kinda hurts? so now we'll have two male teachers in charge of odac - no more enlightening lessons then i guess...

i'm quite happy because i only have one piece of homework to complete before i can sleep.
and i got my earlybird invitation for s'pore standard chartered already, but i can't take part because it's on the 3rd of dec. and i'm in cambodia for osl (which is admittedly more enriching but i guess i'll still miss standard chartered ): ) well, i guess, my running career might go on a hiatus this year and only come back when i'm J1? i don't see how i can fit all the runs into my schedule...

my life is not looking better.
